Dr. Otmar Jannasch, VP Metallurgy at Smart Steel Technologies will give a lecture on "Thin Slab Casting -Components, Functionality, Production" on January 12 from 7.30 - 9.00 a.m. (CET) as part of the lecture series "Casting and Solidification" at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Practical examples will be used to illustrate the technology and its special features. Specific components such as the characteristic funnel mold and their function will be explained in detail. With the help of visual representations, the important aspects and the management of consistently high quality will be explained. In addition, the use of artificial intelligence for quality optimization is discussed.
