Falk-Florian Henrich, PhD, will present on 'Eliminating CO2, Energy and Quality Inefficiencies Through Application of AI'
The increasing pressure to address CO2, energy and quality inefficiencies can best be approached through innovative production routes and technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. In this regard, only exact data will allow steelmakers to charge for their conversion efforts and to succeed in future audits. Hence, very precise AI-based models for the existing and future processing chains are mandatory, computing the exact energy input and CO2 output per product. Smart Steel Technologies’ approach shows proper state-of-the-art AI models for each process and across production processes and displays results of successful automated avoidance of inefficiencies across the whole value chain.
